Spell checking

One of the problems I have noticed with this program (Typepad), and others in particular, is they don’t have spell-checkers. I don’t know about the rest of the general and great unwashed, but I need spell-checking. Heck, I wish I had spell-checking on my pens and pencils, but I don’t.

So, in search of the perfect program, I have come across something called “Spell Catcher” a product by Rainmaker. In fact, I am using the trail edition right at this moment. It is great. I can check from within any program I want to. I can set it up so that it checks while I type, or after I’m all done.

I have been using Spellcatcher for two days, and want very much to buy it, and the only think that is keeping me from dong so, is that Kagi.com, which is their shopping cart, won’t let me, at least not on any of the browsers that I’ve tried so far on my Mac. :(

I have tried Safari, FireFox, Camino and IE 5 (because that is all I have on the Mac). The form that asks me to choose currency won’t show up, so I can’t choose it, and thus can’t place the order. I’ve said this before, and I’ll say it again. If you make your web page only work well in IE 6, you are cutting off some of your audience, small as it is.

But this is not supposed to be a rant against Rainmaker, but more again Kagi.com. I love SpellCatcher, and that is why, after two days I want to buy the real thing. Now, if I can just figure out a way to do that.

P.S. I finally went over to my P.C. and it worked just fine. Sheesh.
