More on Spamming

I know, you don’t want to hear any more about spamming. Half your mailbox is
full. My mother, who loves the web per se, will not have an email account because
she hates spam.

So have you notices the spam where there is just one graphic, and a lot of
nonsense sentences? Well, The San Jose Business Journal explained it in their
Feb. 6th issue. As they put it, the filters are getting so good, this is a way
to by pass the filters. Apprently people can still read text, even it if isn’t
spelled quite right.

Aoccdrnig to a rscheearch at an Elingsh uinervtisy, it deosn’t mttaer in what
oredr the ltteers in a wrod are, the olny iprmoetnt tihng is taht the frist
and the lsat ltteer is at the rghit pclae. The rset can be a toatl mses and
you can sitll raed it wouthit porbelm. Tihs is bcuseae we do not raed ervey
lteter by it slef but the wrod as a wlohe.

Odd, right? I’ve seen so much stuff. I just keep telling Eudora to junk more and more stuff.
