Macs lose out again

I was feeling very smug. I had set up Julie Hyde, and set up my own blog in TypePad. We were chatting later, about how difficult it was to type everything in, and I was thinking, how could she do it, seeing as she didn’t know any html. Finally, I asked her how she did it, and she said, oh, I just clink the button on the “compose a new post” page that says link. I looked and looked, but didn’t see it, until I went over to my lone wintell machine, and sure enough, there it was, six buttons to allow you to ad bold, underline, italic, link, email link and quoted passage.

Interestingly enough, this feature was not available in Opera on the PC or the Mac, and I couldn’t even see the site in poor old Netscape (does anyone still use Netscape?), which rendered a very messy page.

Of course, I suppose I shouldn’t miss something I never had, but it seems odd that it would work on the PC in Explorer and not on the Mac in Explorer, Opera, or Safari.

So, now I don’t feel all that smug.

I also noticed this, as I compose my blogs on different computers. Thanks for confirming that it wasn’t a glitch. Maybe the free version of Moveable Type will allow it?
