Every Three Years

It is said, though I don’t know who said it first, that one should get a new computer every three years, and so I have, for the most part, though I have to keep buying more expensive versions every time I do. I currently own a Mac G5, the predecessor to the new Mac Pro, as they are calling it, the one with the Intel chip. Well, time to start saving up again.

And while I have never worried about what to do with my old computer, I tend to pass them on to family and friends, there was a report on BBC yesterday about people who recycle their computers and open themselves up to identity theft. So, not only should you upgrade, but you should always be sure to obliterate all information on your computer.
